Laziness brings on deep sleep…

Sobrang nahihimbing ang mga tamad. Habang natutulog sila, ang buong mundo’y umaasenso. Walang nangyayari dahil tulog nga! We need to work hard especially at becoming what God wants us to be. Ine-exercise natin ang ating mga bibig. Hindi tayo nagsasalita ng mga ayaw ipasabi ng Dios. Ang sasabihin lang natin ay yung mga gusto nya. That’s a lot of exercise. We should go where God wants us to be and not go where God does not want us to go. That is a lot of hard work.

Yung mga taong umaasenso ay yung handang mahirapan. Hindi laging yung puro madali na lang ang gusto mong gawin. Pagka puro madali ang gusto mo, hindi mo malalaman na may natago pa palang lakas na ibinigay sayo ang Dios. At yung konting lakas na nandyan, paunti na nang paunti, kasi ang dali lang ng mga ginagawa mo e. Walang exercise, humihina tuloy.

Subukan ninyo na yung mga lalaking ang laki-laki ng muscle, imbes na mag-weightlift o magsibak ng kahoy o magbuhat ng mga troso ay paggantsilyuhin nyo ng limang taon, pag di lumiit ang muscle nyan. E kasi, ang dali-dali ng ginagawa. Hindi bagay sa lakas nya kaya liliit. Ganyan din ang utak. Pag hindi ginagamit, lumiliit. Lahat kasi nai-stretch. Even our intelligence. Pag lagi na lang mahirap ang ginagawa ng utak mo, nasasanay ito. Kailangan ine-exercise. Ganyang-ganyan sa faith.

2 Kings 4:6

When all the jars were full, she said to her son, ‘Bring me another one.’ But he replied, ‘There is not a jar left.’ Then the oil stopped flowing.

May kwento sa 2 Kings 4 tungkol sa isang babaeng balo. Namatay ang kanyang asawa at magiging alipin naman ang dalawa nyang anak na lalaki dahil di nila mabayaran ang kanilang mga utang. Kaya nagpunta siya sa propeta upang humingi ng tulong.

Sinabi ng propeta na manghiram sila sa mga kapitbahay ng maraming-maraming jars na walang laman at isalin yung natitira nilang langis dito. Ginawa ito ng mag-iina at napuno nila ang lahat ng lalagyan. Ibinenta nila ang langis at nakabayad sila ng mga utang.

In multiplying wealth, the Bible always begins with what people have. Nang pinakain ng Panginoon ang limang libong lalaki, di pa kasali sa bilang ang mga babae’t bata, umulan ba ng pagkain? Hindi. Dalawang isda at limang pirasong tinapay ang pinarami.

Nang naubos ang alak sa kasalan sa Cana, naghimala ba ang Dios na walang pag-uumpisahan? Inutos ng Panginoon na punuin ng tubig ang mga tapayan. Ang Panginoon ba ang naglagay ng tubig? Hindi. Men can get water. The Lord did what they could not do. They could not turn water into wine.

Marami namang mga tao na dahil sa katamaran, ‘’Lord, nagmi-miracle na rin lang kayo, lubus-lubusin nyo na. Kayo na ang maglagay ng tubig. Paunlarin po nyo ang buhay ko. Pagbukas ko ng cabinet ko bukas, sana punung-puno na ng pera.’’ Walang miracle na darating sa inyo.     

Begin with what you have. Work and the Lord will multiply the product of your efforts.

Matthew 25:28-29

“Take the taken from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents. For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.”

Make wealth to invest in eternity, to tithe and give offerings, to support Christian workers, to send them to seminaries, etc. In other words, produce wealth so we can buy out the enemy.

Are the best men of this country serving the Lord? Hindi! They are serving the big names in the business community. Konti lang ang nasa church dahil mas malaki ang offer ng Japan at ng Middle East. Let us buy out the enemy by making the ministry attractive. For the pastorate to draw young men, tanggalin ang poverty mentality that accepts na ang pastor ay dapat na gumagapang sa hirap.

“E pastor naman yan. He can carry his cross and follow the Lord.” Talagang merong cross to carry. Marami kang resonsibilidad. Gusto mong matulog pero may biglang kailangang puntahan dahil napo-possess. Pero hindi siguro dapat na cross of poverty. Hindi yung cross na wala kang makain.

We get what we deserve. Quality is expensive and the enemy is getting all the quality people. But the Christian church must make wealth so that it can buy out the enemy.

Remember the parable of the talents. Tiningnan ng Dios kung tumubo ba ang kanyang ibinigay. Nagalit siya sa hindi kumita. Tinanggal pa nya at ipinagkaloob ang pera dun sa kumita. Get rid of poverty mentality. Produce wealth. Rule the world. Whoever has the gold rules.

Proverbs 14:23

All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.

Ang pagtatrabaho ay isa sa mga pamamaraang ibinigay ng Dios para tayo magkapera. Kalugud-lugod sa Panginoon ang pagsusumikap at pagtatrabaho ng kanyang mga anak. Sabi ni Paul sa mga taga-Tesalonica, “Ang ayaw magtrabaho huwag kumain. Nabalitaan namin na merong wala nang ginawa kundi magsalita lang, makialam, magpunta sa bahay-bahay, magtsismis, mambola, pero hindi nagtatrabaho. Inuuto nyo ang mga may pera para kayo mabigyan.”

May common mistake ang ilang mga Christians na palibhasa’t nasa pamilya na ng Dios, akala nila may obligasyong ibigay ng kapatiran ang lahat ng pangangailangan nila. “Kapatid, if you love me, kailangang buksan mo ang refrigerator mo sa akin.” Nagtutulungan tayo pero hindi natin gagawing obligasyon ng ating kapwa na tulungan tayo gayong wala tayong ginagawa.

Exempted dito ang mga housewife na nasa bahay at walang employment dahil marami silang gawain. Aba, kung susuwelduhan ng mga mister ang kanilang mga misis, baka kulangin pa ang suweldo nila. May tagapag-alaga na ng mga anak, katulong, yaya, janitor, cook, driver, may inspirasyon ka pa! Nagtatrabaho sila kahit hindi employed.

Yung tinutukoy natin ay yung mga taong walang ginawa kundi tumiwangwang at tumunganga at pagkatapos ay umaasa na pakakainin sila ng kanilang kapwa. Kung baldado na tayo, the church is here to help. Pero hindi natin tino-tolerate ang katamaran.

Ephesians 5:21

Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

The secret of a happy marriage is unity. At para magkaroon ng unity, dapat may submission. Pag ipinagpilitan nila pareho ang dalawang ideya maghihiwalay sila. Dapat sumuko ang isa. Kung kayo ay nakikipagtalo sa inyong asawa o kayo’y natutuksong makipagtalo dahil sa inyong conviction o values, itanong nyo na lang sa sarili nyo, “Mas mahalaga ba ang aking conviction kesa sa aming unity?”

Kung mas mahalaga ang unity, itapon na yung conviction out the window at mag-submit na lang.

Mas mahalaga ang inyong unity kesa ikaw ay manalo. You may win the argument but lose a husband. Lalaki, hindi naman lagi ikaw ang masusunod. Kailangan pag iba ang gusto ni babae, you compare notes. Go to the Bible and see what is right and obey what is right. Kung yung babae ang may hawak ng right, yun ang sundin. Remember, we have one authority and that is the word of God.

Choose your battles and you don’t always have to win. Sa mag-asawa yung nagpapatalo ang nananalo at yung nananalo ang natatalo. Kasi habang nananalo kayo, lumalayo ang loob ng inyong asawa. Habang lagi kang nasusunod, pinagbibigyan, nababawasan ang pagmamahal ng asawa. Nanalo ka sa ibabaw, natalo ka sa ilalim. Mamaya, talung-talo ka na. Kung gusto ninyong manalo, magpatalo kayo for the sake of peace and unity.

It is only in giving that you really keep. And in marriage as in love, you keep only what you give away. Matutong magbigay. Yung nagbibigay kahit natalo sa argument, nanalo sa pag-ibig.
