So, love the LORD your God with all your heart, soul and strength.
How can you love somebody who is not physically capable of receiving love? But God is capable. God loves to love. He not only loves, but loves to love. In fact, he never stops loving. And he not only loves to love, but also loves to be loved. Maraming mga religious deities ng iba’t-ibang pananampalataya, pero ang kanilang mga dios ay hindi mga loving gods. Laging mga galit, kaya laging binibigyan ng mga offering. You always make sacrifices dahil kailangang laging ma-please.
The Lord loves to be loved. And it takes a very strong person to admit that he needs love. Maraming tao ang nagtitigas-tigasan ng kanilang loob, hindi nila ipinadarama, hindi nila ipinahahalata na gusto nila na sila’y minamahal din, na gusto nilang sila’y pinapansin at binibigyan ng atensyon. But the Lord loves to be loved. That’s all the more reason to love God dahil hindi nasasayang ang pag-ibig natin sa kanya.
Mayroong mga tao na habang iniibig mo, lalo nagpapakipot, lalong nagpapahabol. Habang minamahal mo, lalong nagmamataas. Habang binibigyan mo ng pagmamahal, inaabuso ka dahil nalalaman nyang mahal na mahal mo pala siya. Habang minamahal mo, ikaw ang sinasaktan at pinahihirapan.
But it is so wonderful to love God because the Lord loves to be loved. Siya yung kapag pinatuunan natin ng pagmamahal, hindi tayo lugi.
