Psalm 23:1

You, LORD, are my shepherd. I will never be in need. (11 words)

When you are broken or afraid, alone or lonely, troubled or anxious or depressed, ask the Lord to be your shepherd. He is only a prayer away. Kung kayo ngayon ay may pinagdadaanan, ask God to hold you by the hand, and to take you out of that mess because God promises to be there.

It’s time to remember that the Lord is your shepherd.

But you pay a heavy price. Did you become busy with things God did not want you to get busy with? Call on God. Do not harden your heart.

BIG ENOUGH FOR SMALL THINGS

Matthew 10:29-30

Aren’t two sparrows sold for only a penny? But your Father knows when any one of them falls to the ground. Even the hairs on your head are counted.

Jesus’ heart is big enough for small things. Jesus was concerned with small things.

Walang maliit, walang malaki. Bakit? Only man’s limited point of view and framing of himself and the world create the illusion of size. God is out there, and God is in here.

Open your eyes to God’s big heart for small things. We should open our eyes and be appreciative of God’s blessings, especially the little ones that we tend to ignore.

FOLLOW YOUR HEART, BUT…

Proverbs 14:10 (NIV)
Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can share its joy.

However, we must know how to filter out our personal agenda.

But we must not always deny ourselves, our nature or our desire because we were wonderfully created to be who we are. You cannot be your auntie, your uncle, or your mother. You are you. You are unique. You must give space to your uniqueness even in your decision-making.

Napakabuti ng Dios. Binibigyan nya tayo ng laya to follow our heart habang tayo ay bata.

Matthew 13:12

“Everyone who has something will be given more. But people who don’t have anything will lose even what little they have.”

“More” usually means abundance of possessions or blessings, but it can also include abundance of work. Abundance of work is a blessing because ang sabi ng Dios, “Seven days yang ibinigay ko sa inyo–six days you work and on the seventh day, you rest.” God likes us to work.

After six days of work, saka pa lang siya nagpahinga. Kaya ipagpasalamat natin kung marami tayong ginagawa.

And God works by multiplication. His blessing is a multiplier so give God something to multiply. Binigyan ninyo ng three, naging three hundred.

Believe so you can believe more. The apostles asked the Lord in Luke 17:5, “Make our faith stronger!” But it takes practice.

WALANG PERFECT

Romans 3:10

The Scriptures tell us, “No one is acceptable to God!”

We do not always have to agree with the great men and women of the Bible. Wala namang perfect sa kanila e. We don’t need to emulate or copy everything that they did, especially when the Bible does not tell us to copy it anyway.

We don’t always have to gloss over disagreeable acts in the Bible. We don’t have to agree with that. We do not also have to apologize for their behavior because we are not their PR agents. We are students of the Bible and should learn even from their mistakes.

Ang mga kwento nila ay para magturo ng leksyon: negatively, not to follow them; or positively, to follow them. Dapat iniisip mo kung alin yun. Not even the prophets, disciples or apostles, priests or pastors or religious leaders are perfect because the Bible says that no one is righteous.

Only Jesus lived a perfect life.
