P50 ang sa akin.” May cut siya sa lahat ng mga taong kinukuha nya. Mga maliliit na tao na ay dinadaya pa. Kaya bang dayain ang Dios? Ang gumagawa ng mga ganitong bagay ay huwag umasang uunlad. Maaaring pansamantala silang umasenso at lumuwag sa buhay pero hindi rin yun magtatagal. O kaya, nagkakaroon nga sila ng maraming pera pero nagkakaroon naman ng mga malubhang sakit, nagkakagulo naman ang kanilang buhay at nagkakawatak-watak ang pamilya. Malaki ang bayad kung tayo ay gumagawa ng masama sa maliliit na tao. Magsasanla ka ng gangga-bihon mong kwintas, ‘tapos papalitan pa ng ahensiya ng kung ano’ng bakal na tinubog sa kung ano. Kakapiraso mong alahas, pinag-interesan pa. Mga kapwa mahihirap ang dinudukutan, inaagawan, at ninanakawan. Pagka ang nakuha pa sa iyong kwintas ay fake, aabangan ka pa kinabukasan at ipalululon pa sa iyo. Palulusutin ba ito ng Panginoon?

    Remember what God said? “Whatever you do to the least of these, you do to me.” Kung mayroon tayong nilalamangan na maliliit na tao, ang nilalamangan natin ay ang Dios. Pero sa totoo lang, malalamangan nga ba natin ang Dios? Alam nya yun. Naghihintay lang siya ng panahon ng kanyang paghuhukom at paniningil.

Sumpain ang mga nanlalasing ng kapwa para matitigan lang ang hubad na katawan nila. Lalo na yung ginagawa ng mga may edad na sa mga menor de edad. Kunwari yayayaing magmeryenda, yun pala lalasingin o bibigyan ng drugs. Kunwari ay yayayaing manood ng sine, yun pala ay mga imoral na sine ang panonoorin at pag na-sexually excite na yung bata ay pagsasamantalahan. Opportunism includes corruption of the innocent and minors, taking advantage of the disadvantaged and the ignorant using food, drink, money, gifts, favors or help to sexually exploit the needy person. “O sige, tutulungan kita, heto ang pangmatrikula mo, pero may kapalit.” And very especially, the context in Habakkuk is in a sexual way. Many people are so poor that they have nothing left to sell except their bodies. It is considered by heaven a grievous sin to corrupt the human body.

Napakaraming napagsasamantalahan noong bata pa sila at nakakadena na sila sa isang imbalanced life na punung-puno ng distrust at sama ng loob na hindi maibulalas. And most of the times, the innocent persons are the ones made to feel guilty for being dragged into that kind of situation. Kaya habang bata pa, tinuturuan natin ang ating mga anak na mag-ingat. Binibigyan natin ng edukasyon na tumanggi sa mga gustong magsamantala sa kanila.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

That’s why you must encourage and help each other, just as you are already doing.

Kung tayo ay matatakutin, huwag tayong manakot ng ibang tao. Maraming tao ang takot din kaya hindi na dapat dagdagan ang kanilang takot. Kahit mga lalaking nagmamacho-macho-han at naglalakas-lakasan ng loob, may mga takot din yan. Ikaw namang babae, “Daddy, Daddy, pinakasalan kita kasi ayaw kong maghirap. Baka maghihirap tayo ha?” Dinadagdagan mo yung fear nya. Dios ba siya? Alam ba nya na hindi kayo maghihirap? Kung sinisikap nyang bigyan ka ng mabuting buhay pero kung hindi nagiging mabuti at dumadaan kayo sa mga pansamantalang paghihirap, palakasin mo ang loob ng iyong asawa kaysa naman takutin mo.

Alam na alam mong mahina sa Math yung anak mo at ilang beses nang bumagsak, sasabihin mo pa, “Pag bumagsak ka pa (finish the sentence)…” E di dinadagdagan mo yung takot. ‘Tapos pag nagpapakamatay, “Anak, bakit ka nagpakamatay, para yun lang?” E tinakot mo e. Puede mo namang sabihin, “Alam mo, gusto ko mataas ang grade mo para sa sarili mo at para rin sa kasiyahan namin. Pero, anak, kahit ano pang abutin ng grade mo, mahal ka pa rin namin.” Huwag kayong mag-threaten ng tao, lalo’t alam nyo na yung weakness nya.

Do not trivialize the fears of others. Takot yung asawa nyo sa daga, sasabihin nyo, “Daga lang e!” ‘Tapos ihuhulog mo pa sa loob ng bra nya yung daga. Ang reality mo hindi nakakatakot ang daga, pero ang reality nya, nakakatakot iyon. Igalang nyo ang kanya-kanyang mga realities. Huwag nyong mamaliitin ang mga kinakatakutan. Help those who have fears.

Hebrews 13:2

Be sure to welcome strangers into your home. By doing this, some people have welcomed angels as guests, without even knowing it.

Dapat gumamit tayo ng God-given intelligence kung sino ang mga strangers na patutuluyin sa mga tahanan natin. Kailangan may inner conviction from the heart that it is safe and really God’s will to help them. Marami rin naman kasi ang mapagsamantala at minsan ay nananakit pa. Kaya lang huwag nating i-ignore yung udyok ng Espiritu na bunga ng prayerful life at ng righteous living. Huwag nating palampasin yung mga impulses that we can correctly read because yun ang sinasabi ng Holy Spirit sa atin.

Pero hindi lang naman sa bahay sila pinatutuloy. Kung minsan, may nakaupo sa tabi mo na pakiramdam mo gusto mong bigyan ng P1,000. Minsan naman, from out of the blue, parang gusto mong i-blow out ang isang tao, o abutan ng sobrang pabuya ang isang waiter. Ipanalangin yun. At kung habang nananalangin ka ay lalong sumisidhi yung pakiramdam mo, ang Panginoon na ang nagsasabi nun. Tayo pala ang hinihipo para maging instrumento ng pagtulong ng Dios. Pero pag ipinag-pray mo at hindi galing sa Dios, nawawala yung desire at yung gana mong gawin ang isang bagay.

That’s why prayerfulness is important. Laging dapat may nakakabit na panalangin yung ganitong mga udyok. And when we live a lifestyle of prayer, mas lumilinaw yung guidelines na ibinibigay ng Dios.

Come to see me as soon as you can. Demas loves the things of this world so much that he left me and went to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, and Titus has gone to Dalmatia. Only Luke has stayed with me.

Kahit si Paul man na napakaraming spiritual gifts at napakamabunga sa paglilingkod sa Dios, mapapansin natin sa kanyang mga sulat na laging kailangan nya ng mga tao sa paligid. Mga tao na hindi lamang katuwang sa practical work kundi kasama rin sa panalangin; mga taong pinagkukunan din nya ng encouragement, lakas ng loob, aliw, kasiyahan at company. Maraming naging accomplishments si Paul because many people also ministered to him. Hindi man sila ang mga frontliners at kahit na hindi laging kasama ang pangalan nila sa credits, naging katuwang sila ni Paul. We need to minister to ministers. Practical help, encouragement, cheer, companionship, and presence is a great ministry.

We should lend our time, attention, help, service, and expertise. Hindi tayo nagpapakadalubhasa, nag-aaral at nagsasanay para itinda ang ating karunungan at kadalubhasaan sa mga kumpanya lamang na magbabayad nun. Dapat naghahanap din tayo ng mga beneficiary na walang bayad at talagang pinapahiram lang natin nang libre ang ating husay. Pinagpapala ang ganitong gawain.

Kanino natin ipinapahiram ang ating presence? Pinapahiram ba natin sa mga nalulungkot, maysakit, nakakulong? Hindi yan pag-aaksaya ng oras. Hindi sapat na inuubos natin ang ating panahon sa mga bagay lamang na nagbibigay sa atin ng kasiyahan o kaaliwan. Nag-iisip din tayo kung papano tayo makapagbibigay ng kasiyahan o kaaliwan sa ating kapwa.
