Love…doesn’t keep a record of wrongs that others do.

Tatanungin ka ng Dios, “Bakit ang daming peklat ng puso mo?” Sasagutin mo, “Sinugatan po kasi ako ng boyfriend ko noong April 2, 1999.” Magtataka ngayon ang Dios, “E bakit ang daming sugat?” Nahihiya ka ngayong sumagot, “E kasi po, pagkatapos nyang sinugatan, sinasaksak ko po nang sinasaksak nang paulit-ulit dahil lagi kong naaalala.” Ganyan ang nangyayari sa atin tuwing ginugunita natin yung sakit, hapdi, galit, at hinanakit. Ano ngayon ang sasabihin sa atin ng Dios? “Kasalanan mo ‘yan!” Minsan ka na palang nasaksak, dapat hindi ka na papayag na masaksak uli.

Kaya ang itinuturo ng Panginoon, forgive. Kasi kahit magpatiwa-tiwarik man tayo, hindi na puedeng ibalik ang panahon. Mahalagang magpatawad tayo para yung natitira pang oras sa buhay natin ay hindi na madadamay dun sa nasira na ng nakaraaan. Habang hindi nagpapatawad, lumalaki yung sira.

And while it is difficult to forgive, also try to forget. Kung maraming binasag na palayok sa mukha mo ang nanay mo dahil laging mainitin ang ulo nya at nandyan pa rin ang mga hinanakit sa dibdib mo, ikaw na ngayon ang nagiging unkind sa sarili habang hindi mo ito nalilimot. Lalo na’t matagal nang patay ang nanay mo. Kasalanan mo na yan.

Anuman ang atraso sa atin ng mundo, hindi maaalis yan ng kare-replay sa isip. Itigil na ang self-torture na yan. Ultimately, tayo ang magiging beneficiary when we forgive and forget. Lahat ng pait, ibaon na sa limot, and travel on as best as you can. Marami pang natirang pagpapala ang Dios.

Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ never changes! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

People who fall in love with people are very unstable dahil inilalagak nila ang puso nila sa kamay ng tao na hindi rin kayang hawakan ang sariling puso. Pag mahal mo ang isang tao, nadadagdagan ang iyong mga pangamba. Nangangamba kang siya ay mapahamak o kaya ay mawala. Habang dumarami ang ating minamahal na tao, bumibigat ang ating dalahin. Oo nga’t nakakatanggap din naman tayo ng pagmamahal, nasusuklian din yun, pero ang pag-ibig outside of God’s hand is a burden. Marami sa inyo ang magpapatotoo nyan. Pag nakakita ka ng isang taong kay dilim-dilim ng mukha, maaaring tinakasan na naman ng nobyo o nobya yun. Binigyan tayo ng Panginoon ng kapasidad na magmahalan sa isa’t isa, pero pag hindi ang Panginoon ang dearest, pag hindi sa paraan ng Panginoon ang ating pag-ibig, isang napakalaking dalahin at pabigat sa buhay yang pagmamahal.

But if the Lord is our foremost love, he gives us stability. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Nakakatiyak tayo na walang pagbabago. Di ba’t ang napakalaking pangamba ng tao kung mayroong minamahal ay yung baka magbago siya at hindi ka na nya mahalin? Kung tao lang yan, pinakapeligroso ang kalagayan natin. Dahil oras na nawala yung taong yun o nabawasan ang kanyang pag-ibig, nakikipag-usap na tayo sa ating anino.

Ang maganda sa Dios ay hindi siya nawawala. If there is something we have to learn or relearn, ito ay yung maka-develop ng isang love relationship with God.

“If you love me, you will do what I have said, and my Father will love you. I will also love you and show you what I am like.”

Kung kayo ay in love with another person, you can never have contentment. Why? Hindi ka lang na-text maghapon, malungkot ka na e. Hindi ka lang naalala man lang, nagdaramdam ka na. Nakipagngitian lang nang konti sa iba, nasasaktan ka na. At pagka tayo ay nakalimutan na, marami nang kulang. Kahit maraming pagkain sa ating harapan, hindi natin makain dahil wala tayong gana. Kahit na napakaganda ng ating higaan, hindi tayo makatulog, pabiling-biling sa higaan, dahil wala siya at nakalimot. The more you love people, the less you will be contented. Because being selfish, we can never have enough of people. Kahit na ibigay na yung lahat-lahat sa atin, kulang pa rin. E sa totoo lang, hindi naman maiibigay sa atin ang lahat-lahat.

A person will not find contentment unless Jesus Christ is his or her lover. Jesus Christ gives us the contentment that we need. That’s a beautiful truth of a love affair. Yung love affair nyo ba nagbibigay nyan? Mahirap mangyari. Paminsan-minsan, dinadapuan tayo ng contentment. “Hay, salamat at siya ang aking minamahal.” Pero kadalasan, yan ay reklamo at disappointment. And so the more you love people, the less contented you become. But if you only love the Lord, the more contented you get. Nagiging sapat na ang Dios.

Yung mga nagmamahal ng tao, walang katahimikan yan. Kung minsan kahit katabi mo na ang mahal mo at napalingon lang sa iba, tumatahip na ang iyong dibdib, nag-aapoy na ang iyong tenga, unti-unti ka nang nagiging Incredible Hulk. This whole world has been deceived by Satan to always look for romantic love. At dahil sobra ang pressure na magkaroon ng human partner, lalo tuloy lumulungkot ang buhay. Hanggang sa Divisoria naghahanap ng kasuyo. Kung sobrang lungkot, naghahanap ng aliw sa mga escort services. Pero paano ka naman pasasayahin ng mga GRO e habang tumatawa yun ay inom nang inom at ikaw ang nagbabayad nun? At huwag kang magkakamaling malasing at baka maiuwi nya ang iyong wallet. Minsan talaga, sa paghahanap ng kasiyahan, doon napapahamak ang kaluluwa.

Kung malungkot ka, e di malungkot ka. Hindi naman kasalanan ang maging malungkot. Pero dahil nga ayaw na ayaw nating malungkot kaya tayo naghahanap ng libangan na nagdadala sa atin sa napakaraming pagkakamali. In search of happiness, many people have made shipwreck of their faith.

Pero kung ang Panginoon ang number one na mahal natin, mayroon tayong kapayapaan. The Lord gives peace. Binibigyan tayo ng kapayapaan na hindi kayang ibigay ng sanlibutan. Isang uri ng kapayapaang hindi kayang ipaliwanag. Yung klase ng kapayapaang pumapawi ng mga alalahanin at pangamba. Alam nyo kung bakit? Ang mundo kung magbigay, bigay-bawi. Pero ang Panginoon, pag nagbigay, for keeps.

Hebrews 10:25

Some people have given up the habit of meeting for worship, but we must not do that. We should keep on encouraging each other, especially since you know that the day of the Lord’s coming is getting closer.

It is commonly observed that Christians kill their wounded. Mas mabuti pa raw yung mga taong labas. Pag nasugatan yung kanilang comrade, binubuhat, dinadala. Pag may nagkamali o nagkasala, dapat magpapatawad tayo at hindi na tayo yung magpapahaba ng mga usapin, ng mga chismis at kung anu-ano pa.

The church is a hospital for the wounded, not a department store where you display your best products. Kaya dapat nandun ang pang-unawa at pagmamahal. Dapat relaxed tayo sa church because we know that we are brothers and sisters who will love and accept each other unconditionally. We will not stab each other in the back, and we will not gossip about one another. When we entrust our deepest secrets to our brothers and sisters, they will pray for us and with us, and shut their mouths and not talk about it.

The church is for love and for loving. It is not for criticizing or judging others. We don’t sit as a panel of judges to measure the holiness of one another because we are all sinners before God. The sooner we accept that and open our hearts to be loving, kind and forgiving, less self-promoting, less self-praising, and less self-righteous, the better the church will be the place and the family that Jesus wants it to be.
