Proverbs 11:13
A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy man keeps a secret.

Isang napakahamak na pag-iisip at ugali yung magkaibigan kayo ngayon, maganda ang samahan nyo, magka-vibes kayo, at may mga isiniwalat siyang sikreto sayo, tapos, bukas nagkasamaan kayo ng loob, nagalit ka at nag-away kayo at lahat ng sikreto nya ibubulgar mo. This kind of character is the lowest form of life.

Kung tunay kang tao, whatever is shared to you in confidence and in good faith must be respected though you are no longer friends. Kasi, kung hindi kayo magkapalagayang-loob, at hindi maganda ang inyong samahan, hindi naman nya sasabihin yan sayo. Kaya dapat biglang paggalang mo na lang dun sa magandang panahon na kayo’y nagkakasundo, hindi mo dapat i-violate ang trust nya nun.

Ngayon kung magkaaway na kayo at may mga bagay ka pang nalaman, although hindi pa rin magandang sabihin, yun lang siguro ang puede pang matanggap. But not the things that were shared in good faith. We must cherish and respect the sacredness of a good relationship or friendship, even if you are no longer friends. Dyan natin nasusukat kung anong uri ng tao ang ating kausap.

Ang pamumuhay ay hindi lang dapat buhay ka. Dapat maging tunay na tao ka rin. Kaya sabi ng matatanda, madaling maging tao, mahirap magpakatao. Ang tunay na tao, gumagalang sa sacredness of trust.

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Ang pagiging Kristiano’y di lang pag Linggo. Kailangan umiinog ang buhay natin sa church ng Panginoon. Sandali lang tayo sa mundo; nakikiraan lang tayo dito. Ang tunay nating sasapitin ay ang presensya ng Panginoon. Marapat lang na pag tayo’y humarap sa kanya, may maisulit at maialay tayo sa kanyang paanan. Ang ating mga paglilingkod at mga nagawa ay bunsod at tulong na rin ng mga ibinigay nya sa atin.

Maghanapbuhay para may kainin at damitin at para makapaghandog sa Dios. Subalit di tayo nilikha ng Dios para maghanapbuhay lang. May itinakda ang Panginoon sa bawat tao—ito ang dapat nyang tuparin at makamit habang siya’y naghahanapbuhay, nag-aaral, may pamilyang inaalagaan, may hobbies at pinagkakaabalahan. Tingnan natin kung ano ang pinapagawa ng Dios sa atin.

We must be free enough to serve and have a ministry because God created us for good works which he prepared in advance for us to do. Failure means only this—being unable to accomplish the works that God has willed to be done in our lifetime. Mahalaga na magtagumpay tayo sa larangan na yan. And yet, through all these, be free from worry.

Many people can’t serve God because they worry too much. Sasabihin nila, “Di ko yata kayang gawin, wala akong kakayanan, wala na akong oras.” Gawin nyo at saka nyo mapapatunayan.

Colossians 1:29
To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me.

Inililipad ng mahusay na piloto ang eroplano nang mas mataas kapag may bagyo at kumakalug-kalog yung eroplano–above the storm. Saan ba magulo ang buhay? Dun sa ibaba. Pero dun sa taas, tahimik. Ang mga astronaut kapag nasa itaas, nakikita nating lumulutang mag-isa. Payapang-payapa. Kasi pag nandon na, hindi na sila pinu-pull down ng gravity.

Spiritually speaking, alam nyo kung saan talagang payapa? Pag ang taas ng lipad ng ating spiritual life. Sino ba yung laging naguguluhan, laging nalilito, laging nate-tempt, laging nagkakamali? Yung ang baba ng lipad. Kapag mababa ang lipad, natatapak-tapakan tayo. Pero subukan nating tumaas nang konti at makikita nating masarap pala.

After you have been spiritually reborn, maraming hirap sa umpisa. Magtatanggal ka ng mga kulasisi, mga bisyo, mga masamang ugali. Pero pag tinanggal nyo nang tinanggal, makakalampas na kayo doon sa critical level at mamaya, komportable na kayo. “Aba! Nagma-mature na yata ako. Bakit noong araw nate-tempt ako sa ganun, ngayon wala nang appeal? Dati konti lamang na pag-provoke sa akin, aawayin ko na. Ngayon naipagpe-pray ko pa.”

Paano naman kung hindi kayo nagtatanggal at hindi naman kayo sumusunod? Bigla kang nagtake-off. Ten meters pa lang, babangga ka sa mga bahay. Mababa ang lipad. Hindi puede. Kailangan ituloy ang pagtaas.

The challenge is this: Look at what you are now. Keep on striving and allowing the Lord to work in you. Imagine what you can become. Let God re-shape you into his delightful and perfect will. Itaas ang lipad.

Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Sa paglago natin ay napakaraming fruit ang binanggit. Huwag tayong matakot or even feel inadequate kung di tayo malago sa lahat ng fruit. Ang spiritual growth natin in the various fruit of the Spirit ay isa-isa.

Huwag isipin na walang nangyayari sa buhay natin kung di lahat ng fruit ay nasa atin na. Ang mahalaga ay nag-iimprove tayo sa isa-isa. Kung minsan ay dala-dalawa, o tatlu-tatlo, pero hindi pakyaw. Otherwise we will be setting impossible standards, and we’ll only feel sad and frustrated every time we think about it. Seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance in prioritizing the fruit he leads us to work on.

Kung mabagal ang ating transformation, kulang siguro sa feeding o sa obedience o sa sipag. Remember, while the strength and power come from God, may responsibilidad tayo na yan ay pagtrabahuhan, pagsumikapan. Ating isipin kung saan ba tayo kulang sa pagiging godly. Puede tayong mag-worship linggu-linggo at sumama sa lahat ng activities ng church, but if we are not becoming like God more and more, we are only fooling ourselves and wasting our time.

Kamukha na ba tayo ng Dios sa ating kabanalan? Anu-ano pa ba ang di kamukha? Isuko sa Panginoon ang mga bagay na alam natin na di nya gustong nandyan. At yun namang gusto nyang nandyan na wala pa, mag-commit tayo sa Lord na pagsisikapan natin na magkaroon nito through his power and blessing.

Genesis 39:9
“…How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?”

True love is the only acceptable motive for any godly action. Umiiwas tayo sa masama at gumagawa ng tama dahil mahal natin ang Dios. Tulad ng maraming ina, hindi sila napipilitang maging mabuti. Bukal sa kanilang loob dahil mahal nila ang anak. While fear of punishment has an effect (at hindi ko tinatawaran ang effect ng takot), naiiwasan natin ang actual na magkasala. Pero iniiwasan ba natin ang sin in the mind? If you probably have an adulterous or lustful orientation, but you’re afraid of punishment, definitely you will not go to a brothel to have sex with a prostitute. But this could be entertained in the mind.

Nang inaakit si Joseph sa Genesis 39 ng kanyang among babae na napakaganda sa loob ng tahanan nya mismo, napaka-convenient na wala ang among lalaki. Paulit-ulit ang pang-aakit sa kanya araw-araw. Pero hindi nya sinabing, “Nakakahiya naman sa amo ko” o “Paano naman ang reputation ko as a Jew?” o “Nakakatakot, baka ako mapugutan ng ulo. Baka ako maparusahan.” Ang sinabi nya’y “How can I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?”

Ganito ba ang ating motivation? We follow God because of our devotion to him? Pagka ganun ay walang dayaan because love always gives to the full. The reason why we should be godly is because God is worthy of our most honorable conduct. Deserve ng Panginoon ang ating pinakamataas na level of conduct.
