Esther 3:5

Haman was furious to learn that Mordecai refused to kneel down and honor him.

People we hate or dislike very strongly make deep impressions on us. That’s one of the reasons why it should be dealt with. They leave a mark or a dent in our psyche. They hold our memory and attention. They dominate our thoughts. Ayaw man natin, nagiging parang amo natin ang mga taong kinaiinisan natin dahil napapaikot nila tayo. Nararamdaman natin ang galit at naaapektuhan nila ang ating buhay. When you hate someone, you don’t have your own course, you are taken to the left or to the right.

One classic example from the Bible is Haman who hated Mordecai. Mordecai was an Israelite who would bow only to the God of Israel. We become a satellite of the person we hate.

Nakakapagod mamuhi. Nakakaubos ng lakas. Nakakatanggal ng poise. So, what do you do to people you hate? Forgive.
