Haman was furious to learn that Mordecai refused to kneel down and honor him.
People we hate or dislike very strongly make deep impressions on us. That’s one of the reasons why it should be dealt with. Malalim ang ukit sa ating alaala, puso, at isip na ginagawa ng mga taong ayaw na ayaw natin. They leave a mark or a dent in our psyche. They hold our memory and attention. They dominate our thoughts. Ayaw man natin, nagiging parang amo natin ang mga taong kinaiinisan natin dahil napapaikot nila tayo. Nararamdaman natin ang galit at naaapektuhan nila ang ating buhay. When you hate someone, you don’t have your own course, you are taken to the left or to the right. Pag may kinakamuhian tayo, lason sa loob ng utak natin yung pangalan at alaala ng taong yun.
One classic example from the Bible is Haman who hated Mordecai. Si Haman ay mataas na opisyal ng gobyerno at si Mordecai naman ay isang pangkaraniwang taong ayaw magpakumbaba at yumukod kay Haman. Mordecai was an Israelite who would bow only to the God of Israel. So, ang pagkamuhi ni Haman kay Mordecai ang tinik sa kanyang lalamunan at bikig sa kanyang buhay kahit pa ang taas-taas ng ranggo, ang yaman-yaman, at napakamakapangyarihan nya. Ito ang epekto sa atin ng mga taong ayaw na ayaw natin. Napapababa nila ang ating pagkatao, nagagalit tayo at kung minsan nagmumukha tayong mga katawa-tawa. We become a satellite of the person we hate.
