Philippians 4:8

Finally, my friends, keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper. Don’t ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise.

Our thoughts can make us happy or sad. But kung ang gagawing pamantayan at goal is to think about things that are true, pure, right, holy, friendly and proper, these will always shape our behavior and even our facial expressions. Everything begins with a thought. If you decide to think about good things and focus on them, then these will come to you. That is why we should learn from the experiences of people around us. Observe how they live and die so that we will be spared the sorrow that many people go through because of their mistakes.

Huwag tayo maging polyannish, thinking that everything is good and nice. Hindi naman yun totoo. There is a lot of ugliness in the world. But we do not dwell on gloom and doom.

Think good and hopeful thoughts. Why? When you think about the good, you have hope. And when you have hope, you have strength. And hope brings happiness. So what’s our first rule on how to be happy? Think about the good.
