PREPARE AND DECIDE

Matthew 6:14-15

“For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

Maraming tao ang selosa o seloso dahil lumaki marahil sa bahay na kulang sila sa pansin. Hindi sila nabigyan ng pag-aaruga at pagmamahal. Lagi na lang silang naiinggit dahil talagang naapi. Siguro may kapatid tayo na lagi tayong nilalamangan. O may lola tayo na bigay nang bigay ng bibingka sa pinsan natin pero ayaw nya tayo bigyan. May teacher na kinuriputan ang grade natin. Pero ano ang gusto nating mangyari? Naapi na nga tayo noon, paaapi pa ba tayo ngayon? Sarili natin ang umaapi sa atin ngayon.

Kung hindi pa natin pinapakawalan ang sarili from the memories of the past, the only way out, the only remedy is to forgive. Then we will feel the release from bondage. Let’s forgive for two important reasons. First, God commanded it and we cannot be forgiven unless we forgive. Second, only when we forgive will we be really free to enjoy life. Make this monumental decision today to forgive and be happy.

Do not only look at your past and forgive those who have wronged you, but also prepare for the future. Sino ang mga tao na sa palagay natin ay kukunsumihin tayo bukas, next week, next month o next year? Prepare now and decide not to be unduly angry when that situation comes. Then you won’t give the devil an opportunity to smile, you won’t give him the victory. Prepare and decide to forgive.
