John 13:34-35
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Love one another. Hindi naman sinabing get love from one another. Ang sinabi, give love to one another. Whether that person is lovable or not, you love one another. The Lord gives and forgives. On the other hand, people get and forget. But the Lord keeps on loving, not because people are lovable but because he is a loving God.

The people of God must love even the unlovable relations and, most especially, their spouses. Love and respect must exist between the two.

“Love your enemies (Matthew 5:44).” So bakit kayo mawawalan ng pag-ibig sa inyong asawa, anak at magulang, e hanggang kaaway nga dapat mahalin? Pati kapitbahay nga ay dapat mahalin, yung kamag-anak mo pa kaya? Wala tayong excuse.

Dapat nating sabihin, “Lord, surrender. Sige po, teach me how to love.” Hindi na yung nangangatwiran pa tayo at kung anu-anong iniimbento nating mga ideya para mapagbigyan natin yung sarili natin not to love when the command is to love. Makipagmahalan.
