Isa sa mga ebidensiyang mahal tayo ng Dios ay ang pagbibigay nya sa atin ng makakain. Kaya dapat kumakain tayo nang maayos, lalo na kung tayo’y depressed. Kung wala kang ganang kumain, labanan mo yan at kumain ka. Kasi pag nawalan ka ng gana, hihina ang iyong katawan, at baka lubos mo nang gustuhin ang mamatay. You’ve got to reverse the downspin and you’ve got to fight the cycle that will eat you up. Kung iniwan ka ng asawa mo at hindi ka pa kakain, sobra ka nang lugi nun. Dapat minamahal mo ang iyong sarili dahil mahal ka ng Dios. Do not needlessly sacrifice enjoying your meals.
We work to live; we don’t live to work. May kausap akong isang doktor na nakita kong sobrang abala at laging nagmamadali kung kumilos. Sobrang nagtatrabaho, walang pahinga.
“Doktor, paano ka kumakain ng breakfast?”
“Sa kotse.”
“Kumakain ka habang nagda-drive?”
“Hindi, may driver naman ako e. Pero sa kotse ako kumakain.”
Ganun? E di kumakain na lang siya para malamanan ang tiyan? Wala nang kasiyahan. Ang pananghalian din ay doon sa clinic nya, in between patients. Ano namang klaseng buhay yan, di ba? Mabuti pa yung ibang hindi nakakaangat kaysa sa iyo, tawanan nang tawanan at hampasan nang hampasan habang kumakain ng isaw, adidas, at palong ng manok. Dahil ang enjoyment of eating ay isa sa mga regalo ng Dios na hindi dapat nililimot. The body must be kept not only spiritually holy but also physically healthy.
