Don’t talk before you think or make promises to God without thinking them through. God is in heaven, and you are on earth, so don’t talk too much.

At kung mayroon tayong appointment sa mga taong may posisyon o maraming ginagawa, hihingan tayo ng sekretarya ng mga “talking points.” Etiquette requires that you do not deviate from those agreed and pre-arranged “talking points” tulad ng mga ginagawa sa state visits.
If you follow etiquette in dealing with fellow human beings of the highest statesmanship, all the more with God. Hindi siya parang kapitbahay na walang ginagawa, kaya let your words be few. Huwag paulit-ulit. Do not babble and talk foolishly and excessively. Bakit naman kailangan pang pahabain e alam naman ng Dios ang bawat detalye ng iyong pangangailangan? You do not even need to convince God to be good because God is good. “Maawa po kayo.” E maawain naman talaga siya. Hindi natin kailangang makipagbalagtasan sa Dios. Sabihin lang natin kung ano ang ating gusto.
