Matthew 15:13-14

Jesus answered, “Every plant that my Father in heaven did not plant will be pulled up by the roots. Stay away from those Pharisees! They are like blind people leading other blind people, and all of them will fall into a ditch.”

Jesus was trying to explain that the teachings of God must be separated from the teachings of men.

Jesus says that people should leave teachers or teachings that limit their choices although it is not God limiting them. Kung hindi both leader and follower will fall.

Matthew 9:10

Later, Jesus and his disciples were having dinner at Matthew’s house. Many tax collectors and other sinners were also there.

Jesus joined and fellowshiped with outcasts and sinners.

People need, want, and thrive in well-timed and well-spaced human company. People should be able to have and enjoy godly, wholesome, constructive and uplifting company. And we, the people of God, should be able to fill that role as well. You can minister by your mere presence, as long as it is positive.

Jesus gave company, not to take but to give. Kung ito rin ang layunin natin, then and only then can we afford to go with just anybody who has nothing to give us. Jesus ministered to the outsiders, the unglamorous, the disempowered, the weak, the poor, the isolated and lonely. So give company to those who are alone and outside the system. Like the Lord, be sensitive to people’s situations and needs.

HUWAG PAHIRAPIN ANG MADALI

Matthew 11:28-30

“If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest. Take the yoke I give you. Put it on your shoulders and learn from me. I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest. This yoke is easy to bear, and this burden is light.”

Because Jesus loved people, he was always part of the solution. Kaya lagi siyang welcome. He made situations light and easier for people. At sabi nya, “My yoke is easy, my burden is light.”

Kaya salungat yung nagsasabing mahirap magpaka-Kristiano.

Mas mataas na prinsipyo yung love, peace, pakikipagmabutihan, at yung payapa at tahimik na buhay.

John 9:6-7

…he spit on the ground. He made some mud and smeared it on the man’s eyes. Then he said, “Go and wash off the mud in the Siloam Pool.” The man went and washed in Siloam… When he had washed off the mud, he could see.

Let’s take a look at Jesus’ method of healing this man born blind. Yung mismong galing sa kanya: his spit. Pattern yan sa Biblia. Pinaghahalo yung galing sa taas at galing dito sa baba. Napakahalaga ng contact between the human and the divine. Jesus was going to re-create the life of this man. Because he was born like that, he had to be born again in another dimension. Kailangan maging iba siya.

Then Jesus gave instructions, and the patient obeys. So the man goes home well, singing, “What a Difference a Day Makes.” God’s word heals when obeyed. Walang mangyayaring himala pag ganun. You always do your part. Obedience is important in healing.

John 2:7-9

The servants did as Jesus told them, and the man in charge drank some of the water that had now turned into wine. He did not know where the wine had come from, but the servants did…

Jesus turned water into wine for a small village wedding. He and his disciples were just invited guests but Jesus performed his first miracle anyway. Only the servants and the disciples were in the know.

The disciples were encouraged. We were not even told that everybody else enjoyed the wine but the Scriptures tell us that the disciples put their trust in him. They were the miracle’s primary audience and the biggest winners that day. What a privilege to serve the Lord!
