My children, you must respect the LORD and the king, and you must not make friends with anyone who rebels against either of them. Who knows what sudden disaster the LORD or a ruler might bring?
Whenever possible, do not be an outlaw. Do not join those who wrongly oppose power or the powerful. You have only one life to live. Kahit pa nga may buhay sa kabila, iisa lang ang buhay mo rito sa lupa. Kaya dapat pag-isipang mabuti kung para saan mo ito ginugugol at uubusin. Hindi natin minamaliit yung mga matataas na hangarin ng mga tao na may mga prinsipyong ipinaglalaban, pero dapat piliin din natin ang mga sinusuong na panganib. Many lives are used as pawns in cruel chess games played by kings. Nadadaya ang mga mangmang na hindi nag-iisip. Nare-recruit sila at nahihikayat na maging frontliners para pang-ubos ng bala ng kalaban.
Yung mahihilig lumaban at mag-aklas, madalas yung buhay nila ang gulu-gulo at nadadamay ang pamilya. Puedeng magtagumpay ka at nakinabang ang susunod na henerasyon sa mga ipinaglaban mo, pero hindi ikaw ang nagkaroon ng ganung buhay dahil yung asawa mo ay nabiyuda at yung mga anak mo ay naulila. Hindi rin natin sinasabing huwag tayong magkaroon ng paninindigan at huwag nating labanan ang oppression, pero suriin nating mabuti kung ang partidong ipinaglalaban natin ay nasa tuwid na landas talaga.
Piliin ang ipinakikipaglaban. If you can find a space to accommodate a system that will allow you to live your life to the fullest, though you don’t necessarily like that system, it is best not to fight power. Iisa lang ang buhay natin.
