1Timothy 3:13

Those who serve well as officers will earn a good reputation and will be highly respected for their faith in Christ Jesus.

Serving people, especially during their low moments, binds relationships. In the process of ministering, we feel needed, loved and wanted. Di ba’t ang pinakamalaking parusa sa isang tao ay not to feel wanted and needed? If you put people to work and make them useful, that means you love them because they will feel good about themselves.

The highest form of snobbery is not to make anyone feel useful and needed. But we feel useless. It is a privilege to be needed, to be wanted, to be always summoned and called as if the world would not be the same if you were not there.

That is why we need to minister to people. To give them comfort when needed para magkaroon ng kalakasan sa panahon ng kanilang mga paghihirap. Naroon tayo para dumamay. Maging kapartner, katulong, katuwang, adviser, counselor, advocate, and encourager.
