Daniel 2:46

Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell prostrate before Daniel and paid him honor and ordered than an offering and incense be presented to him.

The only way to react to God’s anointed servant is to respect that servant. King Nebuchadnezzar, being a great man and an intelligent ruler, knew what to do.

“Never mind if I am a king. I would lay prostrate before him,” sabi ni Nebchadnessar. “Magsiga ng insenso at pausukan si Daniel like I would treat God.” Because he couldn’t see the God he wanted to honor, he honored God’s messenger.

Daniel was made governor over Babylon, the capital of the empire, and became the dean of the wise men not because he was great but because God used him. Daniel also requested that Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego be made administrators of the province. Why? First, he wanted to share the honor and the reward with these men who were with him in prayer and helped him during his difficult days. Marunong si Daniel tumanaw at kumilala. He also wanted to continue God’s ministrations to the king through him kaya kailangan nya ng mga administrators. Imbes na maging administrator, Daniel was now free to give priority to his prophetic office and ministry.

If we wish to honor God, we will have to honor the people whom God uses.
