MAY KAWANGGAWA BA?

1 Timothy 6:18

Instruct them to do as many good deeds as they can and to help everyone. Remind the rich to be generous and share what they have.

We should develop personal charity and exercise of good works. When people do good things to the weak, the needy, the destitute, and the poor, a miracle happens in their hearts. Their spirituality develops more sensitivity as a result of their obedience to the Lord in doing good works. James 1:27 (NIV) is very explicit: Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. Orphans and widows here are representatives of the disempowered, the marginalized, and the defenseless.

Pag sinabing relihiyoso ang isang tao, ang tanong d’yan ay, mayroon ba siyang mga kawanggawa? There will always be the richer and the poorer people, the stronger and the weaker ones, no matter what your station in life is. Kasi daw yung pure religion ay hindi yung fasting, o ang pagsali sa mga grand religious activities kung hindi yung personal and quiet work for the needy, the weak and the destitute, at yung personal kang naninindigang hindi ka marumihan ng sanlibutan at manatiling malinis ang inyong espiritu lagi. That is religion that is undefiled before God.

And if we do all these, we will be able to develop a very personal morality that will sometimes go against what is considered acceptable, and beyond what others say to be right.
