Mark 4:24-25
“Consider carefully what you hear,” he continued. “With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.”

Consider how we listen. If we listen more, we will hear more; therefore, we will understand more. Less listening means less understanding. But those who listen well will be rewarded with understanding. Gaganahan sila lalong makinig kaya lalong yayaman ang kaalaman nila at lalo silang payayamanin. The attention one gives to learning God’s teaching will be rewarded proportionately. In fact, even beyond proportionately. A devoted listener to the mysteries of God’s kingdom will be rewarded.

So we listen and study more to understand more. And when we understand what we heard or studied, we can obey, or move on to obedience.

It is a cycle of spiritual decay. And what breaks the cycle? Listening well.
