Kiss me tenderly!…Hurry, my king! Let’s hurry. Take me to your home.

Couples are to kiss well and kiss a lot, tulad ng sinasabi ng kantang Spanish, “Besame mucho” at sa mga text messages, “mwah mwah mwah” because marital love is full of kisses. Kisses are part of a romantic relationship.

Couples are to also have private space and healthy moments of aloneness. In this country, very few couples have privacy. Kaya sabi ng babae sa verse, “Dalhin mo ako sa iyong silid.” Kasi kailangan nilang makapag-isa. Kaya hindi rin always desirable na parang inahing manok yung nanay na nakapaligid sa kanya ang lahat ng anak nya at nasa gilid-gilid yung asawa nyang nag-aantay na makatulog ang mga bata. Married women, you are wives first before mothers. Huwag nyong kakalimutan yung banal nyong tungkulin ng mag-asawa sa isa’t isa. You have to have aloneness as a couple.

Mga magulang, anak at kamag-anak, you must allow couples to have moments of privacy. Hindi kayo laging nakasingit, nakasali at nanggugulo. Mahalaga ang inyong support. Let couples be couples. Give them privacy. Dapat ay couple-friendly kayo. Hangga’t maaari mayroon silang sariling kwarto. Hindi yung, “O, dito lahat ng girls, doon lahat ng boys.” Paminsan-minsan siguro pero madalas bibigyan nyo ang mag-asawa ng panahong magkasama. Relatives, especially in-laws, do not get in the way. Give couples the space, the time, and the opportunity to be available and beautiful to each other. And let us encourage them to be romantic and loving. That’s what the institution of marriage is for.
