ITINURING NA RIGHTEOUS AT NAGPAKA-RIGHTEOUS

Psalm 23:3

You are true to your name, and you lead me along the right paths.

According to the meaning of the Lord’s name which is “shepherd,” he guides us. Hindi nya tayo lilitsonin o kakainin, hindi nya tayo ipapahamak kasi ang pangalan nya ay “shepherd” at siya ang ating shepherd.

We become righteous because the Lord leads us. Yung nauuna siya, sumusunod tayo; o nauuna tayo pero nandun siya sa likod upang bantayan tayo. Nagiging righteous tayo by doing the right thing. But more than that, through the work of Jesus our shepherd nagiging righteous tayo by faith.

By believing in Jesus as your Savior and Lord, your belief makes you righteous. Yan ang tinatawag nating “made righteous by faith.” Pag nananalig ka kay Hesus, nagpaligtas ka sa kanya, biglang magiging righteous ka sa tingin ng langit kahit ang totoo nyan ay tadtad ka ng kasalanan. Pero pinagsisihan mo, tinalikuran mo, hindi na yung kasalanan mo ang nakikita kundi yung dugo ni Hesus na ipinanghuhugas sa iyong kasalanan. Ina-apply yan pareho ng tunay na mananampalataya. You know that you are made righteous by faith but you also do what you can to your utmost so you could actually be righteous by works not only by faith. Magkakambal yan at ginagawa pareho.

And because of that, the true believer remembers the Shepherd that became the Lamb that takes away the sins of the world. Pag naaalala mo ito, he restores your soul. Pag sumusunod tayo sa mga katuruan ni Hesus, he guides us in righteousness. All because of what his name means.
