You led me to your banquet room and showered me with love.
Love is described here as a feast or banquet because there is sumptuous sharing. Hindi crumbs, hindi maliliit na piraso. Malalaki at masasarap ang inihahanda mong pagkain. Pag sinabing “you led me to your banquet room,” ibig sabihin maraming variety, puedeng balik-balikan, hindi pinagsasawaan. People can survive on crumbs but they will never flourish on crumbs. Mananatili lang na buhay dahil pinapakain mo lang nang konti pero hindi masaya, hindi masigla, hindi maganda, hindi sariwa. So kung gusto mong patuloy ang inyong pag-iibigan, abound in good things. Pinagpipiyestahan, pinagsasaluhan ang pag-ibig.
And love, as we have seen here, is expressive. Nararamdaman ng babae at ng lalaki. Hindi nakakabawas sa pagkalalaki ang pagiging expressive. Ito’y isang palatandaan ng pagkalalaki kasi marunong kang magmahal, humimas, humagod, lalo’t may konting tampuhan at ipinaghihinanakit. Nanunuyo ka. Hindi komo napakasalan mo na, hindi mo na liligawan, magtampo man siya “Bahala siya, lilipas din yan after seven days.” Ba’t ka pa nag-asawa kung ikaw din ang humihimas sa sarili mong mga pasa at ang nagbibigay ng kasiyahan sa sarili mo?
Nakakalungkot isipin na maraming mag-asawa ang nagsu-survive na lang alang-alang sa mga bata. Nawala na yung sariling saya. Hindi na rin napapasaya yung asawa. Mayroon pa ngang nagsasabing “Para na lang kaming magkapatid.” Delikado yan. Baka may iba nang itinuturing na asawa yan. Kaya inaalagaan ito. Part of genuine spirituality is to make your life with your spouse beautiful and pleasant because the quality of your family life could only be determined by the quality of life that you share as husband and wife.
