SA MAY PERA NA LANG?

1 Samuel 25:2-3

Nabal was a very rich man who lived in Maon. He owned three thousand sheep and a thousand goats, which he kept at Carmel. His wife Abigail was sensible and beautiful…

You may find this difficult to swallow, but if you like to be happy, marry money. Now, there is nothing wrong with marrying money as long as it is not the main reason to marry.

ENTITLED KA BA?

1 Timothy 5:8

People who don’t take care of their relatives, and especially their own families, have given up their faith. They are worse than someone who doesn’t have faith in the Lord.

Spend money that you earned. But a wife might ask, “Wife lang po ako at wala naman po akong hanapbuhay,” at yung asawa naman ay ang yabang-yabang, “Ako ang bumubuhay sa iyo!” No, no, no. By being a good wife, you earn everything that you are entitled to.

GODLY SPENDING

2 Corinthians 8:13-14

…But it is only fair for you to share with them when you have so much and they have so little…

Kung blessing na magkaroon ng income at blessing din ang gumastos, what godly, correct and appropriate spending could we be missing on?

BEST SAVINGS

2 Corinthians 8:7

You do everything better than anyone else…You are eager to give, and you love us better. Now you must give more generously than anyone else.

Be a giver more than a taker; a benefactor more than a beneficiary. Want to teach them a lesson? At another time. Negative pa rin ang score mo at the end of the day.

MAGBAWAS-BAWAS

Deuteronomy 15:11

“There will always be some Israelites who are poor and needy. That’s why I am commanding you to be generous with them.”

Money should be lent or given to the needy. This is a recognition of a reality, kaya sabi nya, “Dahil d’yan, kailangang bukas-palad kayo sa mga kapus-palad. ”

HUWAG PALAASA

Deuteronomy 8:17

When you become successful, don’t say, “I’m rich, and I’ve earned it all myself.” Instead, remember that the LORD your God gives you the strength to make a living.

Do not develop the habit of asking, borrowing and begging. It’s not God’s style. You ask, beg or borrow only in the few moments of your life when you are too ill, too unfit, or too unfortunate to make a living.

MULTIPLICATION

Genesis 1:12 (NIV)

The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

PARAMIHIN MO

Luke 19:13

But before leaving, he called in ten servants and gave each of them some money. He told them, “Use this to earn more money until I get back.”

Money should be multiplied.

YOU CANNOT OUTGIVE GOD

Mark 12:42-43

Finally, a poor widow came up and put in two coins that were worth only a few pennies. Jesus told his disciples…”I tell you that this poor widow has put in more than all the others.”

Talagang indang-inda.

CAUSE AND EFFECT

Proverbs 20:4

If you are too lazy to plow, don’t expect a harvest.

Plant so you will harvest. And remember this, nobody is too old to plant anything.

HEAVENLY INVESTMENTS

Matthew 6:19-20

“Don’t store up treasures on earth! Moths and rust can destroy them, and thieves can break in and steal them. Instead, store up your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy them, and thieves cannot break in and steal them.”

Money is not meant to be hoarded but to be spent wisely.

Matthew 19:21

Jesus replied, “If you want to be perfect, go sell everything you own! Give the money to the poor and you will have riches in heaven. Then come and be my follower.”
