Paano bang maging self-controlled ang mga kababaihan?

Sa pananamit pa lang, dapat kontrolado na. Dress responsibly. Huwag magsuot ng damit na pinasisilip-silip na ang pusod. O kaya yung mga damit na bakat na bakat pati nunal. Akala mo balat, damit na pala. Pilit na pinabababa ang neckline at pilit itinataas ang hemline.

Dapat pati pagtawa ay kontrolado. Hindi yung parang mga hyena kung magtawanan sa kalsada. Ang lalakas ng halakhak, nang-aagaw ng attention, hampasan nang hampasan habang naglalakad. Ilang mga nobyo na ang nasaksak ng mga lasing dahil yung nobya nya sobrang makakembot at makatawa? Kung makatingin sa mga tao’y sobrang malagkit. Kapag umupo ay kukuyakuyakoy. Ano ang nangyayari? Nababastos. Sinisipulan tuloy ng mga lasing. Nagpapaka-macho naman yung nobyo. Ipagtatanggol siya, nabugbog tuloy.

Maganda yung presentable ka, maganda ka, na-e-enhance yung ibinibigay sayo ng Dios. Pero kung yun lamang ang pinahahalagahan at pagkatapos yung puri mo ay nako-compromise na at nagiging sex object ka, ugliness na yan. The moment a person looks at you as a piece of meat for arousal, you cheapen yourself and you actually cheapen everybody else. So we should be modest in our attire and in our actions.

May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.

The one that you married in your youth is the one that you are going to enjoy until you both grow old. Yung iba kasi, they enjoy the youth of their wife ngunit pag tumanda na, naghahanap na ng ibang woman na may youth. Kaya tuloy ang mga babae ngayon, oppressed na oppressed. Hindi na malaman kung ano ang gagawin. Pupunta ba sa doktor or sa magician o sa mangkukulam para sila forever looking young. Kasi men are always looking for the youth of their wife, not the wife of their youth.

E kung tumanda man yan siguro dahil sa inyo. Kaya, take it. Kung noong pinakasalan nyo parang ubas, ngayon para nang prunes, well, look at yourself. Di ba ganun talaga yun, tumatanda ang mga tao?

But continue to be handsome, continue to be beautiful. Tama naman yung sinabi ng isang poet: “A thing of beauty is a joy forever.” At ano ang sabi ng isang kanta? “Loving you is easy ‘cause you’re beautiful.” Kahit gaano tayo ka-spiritual, you can’t deny the fact that the Lord gave us physical senses and we appreciate beauty. So think about that.

Continue to be exciting up to your dying day. Continue the courtship, do not let it end and continue to surprise each other with the next layer of your wonderful person. Show what you did not show five years ago, so that the other will say, “What will I see five years from now?” Then life will be continuously exciting.

Proverbs 31:30

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

Mahalaga ang pagkatao. Hindi lang yung marami kang verses na alam, saulo mo lahat ng dasal, lahat ng mga uniform ng mga araw ng mga santo’t santa ay suot mo. Ang mahalaga, meron kang character. Nut just passive, indolent religiosity. Not just lowliness, patience and tolerance. Not just pagtitiis, pagpapakasakit, pagdarasal, pag-iyak at paghihintay ng himala. Ito ang itinuro at glinorify ng napakaraming taon ng “Christianity” sa Pilipinas.

Jose Rizal wrote about these kinds of women. Mahina ang loob ni Sisa sa Noli Me Tangere. Wala siyang alam kundi umibig at umiyak. Itinuring nyang dios ang kanyang asawa at anghel ang mga anak. Magtiis ka dahil babae ka. “Gayahin mo si Birheng Maria na may pitong mga balaraw na nakatusok sa puso. Sayo nga tatlo pa lang!” Sa El Filibusterismo, nakulong ang nobyo ni Huli, may kaso ang boyfriend nya at kursunada siya ng pari. Siya ang bayad. Ano ang ginawa nya? Naghintay ng himala!

Hanggang ngayon ganyan ang mga telenovela! Mga anino nina Sisa at Huli. Inaapi ng asawa, ng anak, ng stepmother, ng stepsister, iyak nang iyak. At gino-glorify ng lahat bilang ulirang babae! Kaya nga nakaka-brain damage ang mga dramang yan e.

Nakita nyo ba sa mga babaeng ito ang woman of Proverbs 31? Hindi! Basahin ang verses 10 to 31. Ang dapat nating gawing huwaran at uliran ay ang babaeng ito. Gumagawa siya ng paraan. Masipag siya. May dangal. At hindi iyak lang ang bala nya sa buhay. Siya ang model.

Malachi 3:10-11

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit,” says the LORD Almighty.

Ang sabi, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse so that there may be food in my house.” Sino ba ang nasa house? Hindi ba tayo? Tayo rin ang kakain. Many churches are poor because their members are poor givers. If the church is poor, wala ring food sa table. Konti lang feeding. E kasi hindi ma-afford ng church. When people support their church, they actually support themselves because it is theirs. You can never really give to God because God never needed anything. The Lord only likes to get so he can give it back many times over.

Sasabihin ng iba, “Kulang na nga tayo, magta-tithe pa?” Ayaw magtiwala sa Dios kaya yung pagkain para sa ngayon ay babaunin pa at itatabi sa higaan dahil baka mawala. Bukas paggising nila, panis na yun, inipis at dinaga na.

Wala pa akong nakitang tao who is so faithful in giving na talagang nagkasalat-salat at nagkapeste-peste ang buhay. The Lord is faithful. Pag sinabi nyang floodgates will be opened, bubukas yon. Biglang aapaw at bilang aagos ang katakut-takot na pagpapala na kung saan-saan nanggagaling. Do you have overflowing blessings? Kayo ba ay nagta-tithe? Hindi mapagbiro ang Dios. Hindi sinungaling.

Matthew 19:21

Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”                       

Hindi ibig sabihin nito, lahat ng may kabuhayan hinihingi ng Panginoon na ibenta nyo ang kabuhayan nyo at ipamigay para kayo maging banal. Nagsabi kasi itong taong ito, “Lord, gusto ko pong sumunod sa inyo.” E alam ng Lord na ang dios ng taong ito ay yung pera nya. Kaya sinabi nya, “Magpalit ka muna ng dios. Ibenta mo lahat yang kayamanan mo at ipamigay sa mahihirap saka ka sumunod.” Hindi siya sumunod. Kasi totoo lang yung sinabi ng Lord na pera ang dios nya. Pero kung ang Dios nyo naman ay ang Dios, kahit may pera pa kayo, hindi naman ipinapatapon sa inyo.

Ang standard kasi ng mundo ang mga mayayaman ay yung maraming kinamkam at sinarili. Hindi! Sinukat ng Panginoon ang kayamanan dito, hindi sa inimpok at itinago kundi sa ipinamigay.

Sasabihin nyo, “Teka, wala akong masyadong kayamanan to give away.”

Pero hindi lang naman yun ang puede nating ibigay e. We can give any of our three Ts—our time, talent, treasure, or all of these. Nagbibigay ka ng oras mo sayong kapwa, nakikinig ka sa kanyang mga suliranin, ipinapanalangin mo siya. Merong taong hindi makakain, ipinagluto mo. May malungkot, pinasaya mo. Maraming puedeng ibigay.

Lahat tayo tig-24 hours. Lahat tayo may talent, may kakayahan na ibinigay ng Panginoon. At lahat din naman tayo may treasure, iba-iba lang nga yung amount. It’s how much you make of it that determines the value of your wealth.
